I met Michael where so many people do these days...online.

I thought he was handsome, of course. He was honest on his profile, indicating he had been married before and had kids. That seemed like more than I wanted to deal with, so I deleted him. He was persistent and continued to talk to me! That knock out smile kept making me talk to him. I'd check his profile to refresh my memory and delete him again. After the third time, I agreed to a date the week of Thanksgiving 2017. Unfortunately, I got sick that week and had to cancel our date.

Michael called to check on me, offered to make me chicken soup. Lol, benefits of dating a chef. I asked him what was the traditional things he was making for his family...all the usual goodies and Blue Cheese Dip (sounds good).

By Black Friday, I was feeling a little better. Michael took advantage of this and asked me to dinner. We went to Umi Sushi in downtown Ann Arbor. He stared at me in a way that made me uncomfortable...not like creeper, more like enthralled, like I was beautiful and the woman of his dreams. We talked for over an hour. As we were leaving, he went to his truck and brought out a dozen pink roses and homemade Blue Cheese Dip (which was awesome by the way, and absolutely the cutest). Yup! I kissed him. I didn't want the date to end and neither did he, so we ended up at Starbuck's (we're kind of junkies).

Michael is definitly my BEST Black Friday find! I love this man like no other. I thank God for bringing him into my life. I love his children who are all beautiful unique people and have accepted me with open arms. I am abundantly blessed.

I was nervous about meeting someone on a dating website. I figured keeping it honest was best.

I noticed Jenna kept deleting my profile. Normally, I would just let it go, but there was something about her, I needed to keep talking to her. She is a beautiful lady, so I asked her out on a date and after a while she said yes. Little did I know, I was one of three dates she had scheduled that week...and cancelled.

Knowing she was sick, after a couple of days I called to checked and make sure she was doing ok. Apparently, I was the only one to check one her. I was also the only one to get rescheduled. Persistence pays off! She was feeling better and agreed to have dinner with me. The roses and Blue Cheese Dip were a win and when she kissed me, I was thinking YESSSSSS.

I am so very lucky that I was bound and determined to meet Jenna. I love her very much, she loves my children, and they her.
