Please use this site as your guide to all things #PollardWedding. We’re counting down the days until we can all celebrate together in gorgeous Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. Thank you for flying out to witness us say “I do” in a place that means so much to us. And for those who can not attend physically, we will update our site with the web address for the live streaming of our special day.  We couldn't picture our wedding anywhere else. OUR STORY

 

Robert and Gwendolyn have known and grew up in the same neighborhood most of their lives. So, childhood associates would be the best way to describe their first acquaintance. In 2018, Robert discovered Gwen on Facebook and sent her a friend request. Wanting to reconnect with some people from her childhood, she gladly accepted, now the friendship started. 

Gwen relocated to Ghana, West Africa for a short period after connecting to Robert via Facebook and they continued the friendship connection. Really what she needed being so far away from home. Upon the return she moved to the suburbs of Chicago. The friendship begun to grow and Robert took his first flight to Illinois during this time. It was also somewhere around Gwen and Robert both traveling from Chicago to South Carolina they discovered there were strong chemistry amongst them.

In 2020, Gwendolyn decided to relocate back to South Carolina permanently. After 2-years of cohabitation Gwendolyn and Robert knew that there was no separating them, she has finally found her Boaz and he had discovered his Ruth.   The love that Gwendolyn and Robert share is well beyond anyone’s imagination. 

On May 24, 2023, Gwendolyn and Robert will be joined together as one before family and friends. Blending the two families together with love.
