Please use this site as your guide to all things #MERMadeToBeMontalvo. We’re counting down the days until we can all celebrate together in gorgeous Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. Thank you for flying out to witness us say “I do” in the beautiful Caribbean. We couldn't picture our wedding with anyone else. We’ll see you all in February!

 

Our Story

 

Alyson and Mio met in Mooney Hall #16 (shout out to our Founders!) on the campus of Seton Hall University in 2013. Their first interaction involved lots of smiles and giggles on Mio's part and Alyson, completely unaware of Mio's instant crush on her -- fast forward to nearly 7 years later involving a trip to Miami, a can of Jupiña and a lot of Instagram DMs. The connection and gravitational pull that brought them together is something neither could truly explain or articulate. However, it was enough for Mio to get on a plane, traveling from Florida to New Jersey on 2 hours of sleep to find out just what it meant. 

A few of Alyson and Mio's favorite memories from their time together: T.G.I. Friday's for their first "official" date in Alyson's car during a global pandemic, surviving quarantine, being long distance to living together to being long distance again and racking up airline miles during their first official year of engagement. 

Alyson and Mio's first proposal was a bit unique because although Alyson purchased Mio's engagement ring first, Mio proposed via personalized Uno cards (their favorite game) at Alyson's graduation party from the Police Academy. Their second proposal involved personalized Minnie Mouse ears that adorned the phrase "Will you marry me?" on Christmas (Mio has worked for Walt Disney World for 6 years). 

Surrounded by our loved ones, we have been able to find the greatest of loves in each other and are so excited for those to join us as we say "I do" at our destination wedding in February 2022. See you soon!
