Dan is a lifelong friend of Lisa's, going back to the high school days. Not long after Lisa and Derek became a couple, Dan (and now with his wife Jacqui) rekindled that friendship with Lisa. Derek and Dan realized they had a lot in common with sports and music, and soon became the best of friends. Now as couples, many weekends are spent together camping and travelling, and together for most social events. Dan is an amazing and thoughtful person. He is always there to help, always willing to fix something, to build something, or bake something. You can always count on him! Lisa and Derek could not ask for a better friend. Always ready for a laugh or a joke, or for any appliance repairs, Dan is the man.

Jacqui Richard

Jacqui was brought into our lives by Dan. As his fantabulous wife! But she surely is a very much “larger than life” impact in the lives of Lisa and Derek. Jacqui doesn’t like drama or to complicate things, she always is a voice of reason, and her caring way always shines through. She is a true breath of fresh air. Jacqui is always thoughtful and willing to help. She is a great sounding board who is willing to provide her take and expertise on things. Lisa especially enjoys talking for hours and having such a close friend that she feels discussing any topic life throws at them. A true gem of a person, loyal, adventurous, and “o my jingles” the bestest of a friend.

The wedding couple were introduced to Mike through Julie. Mike is our amazing friend who gets things done. A focused and straightforward guy, he is a generous and thoughtful friend. Mike shares Derek’s love of the Leafs and passion for a good karaoke night. Mike and Julie opened their house for Derek and Lisa for several weeks while they waited in transition to move into their new house. You just don’t get many friends who are considerate and helpful like Mike. Mike makes a mean coffee, and Lisa and Derek have enjoyed many of them! Also, if you want it done right.. get Mike to do it. His attention to detail in everything he does is awesome and appreciated.

Julie Cormier

Julie worked with Lisa and Derek at ExxonMobil. Julie and Lisa have since moved on from working together but not before creating a true friendship. Over the last several years as couples we have been on some great trips to Quebec, PEI, and many other places. Julie’s an amazing planner and is so thorough in all she does. Julie has been instrumental in a lot of decisions Lisa and Derek make, as you can always count on her to think of the many angles of a situation. She is also an amazing decorator that Derek and Lisa have relied on many a time! A truly caring friend we are proud to have.
