Willow Emrys & Brent Burdios

Our Story

I guess that the story of us all goes back to the magnetism that is Paul Cooper. In 2002, Willow was able to attend a small town school named Chico State where she became roommates with Paul. A few years later, Brent moved in to a San Ramon house with Paul around the same time Willow moved to San Ramon with her sister Isla. It was in this house that Brent and Willow were introduced. Their love is the best kind-the one that starts out in the Friend Zone! It was in the friend zone that Willow and Brent were able to get to know each other without the fear of dating or trying to impress each other. A few years into the friendship, the stars aligned and Brent and Willow were single at the same time. Knowing that a woman like Willow was too amazing to stay single for long, Brent went out on a limb to win her heart. It seemed that Brent was accurate in seeing a short life for Willow's single phase-because Brent and Willow were dating by Valentine's Day 2007.

Over the course of the past few years, Willow and Brent have spent the time falling in love and becoming best friends. In July 2009 after an amazing week together in Honolulu, Brent decided it was time for Willow to get a new last name that rhymed with Nurdios. With the blessing of her family, Brent set out to propose to Willow in Lake Tahoe on December 18th, 2009. After he showed up to work to show almost everyone at Safeway the ring he wanted to put on Willow's hand, they set out on their trip to the Embassy Suites Resort in South Lake. When they got in, Brent led Willow into a suite filled with roses and petals in the room. Then Brent got down on one knee to ask for-and receive-Willow's hand in marriage.

Now here we are-planning a wedding we can't wait for with friends and family who have been along for the ride over the last 3-plus years...

Our Wedding

Looks like we are going to highlight the middle of July with an amazing wedding at the Crooked Vine Winery in Livermore. This wedding will be on July 17th at 5pm. Hopefully it will be under 100 degrees by then and we will be able to enjoy a great night after the ceremony at...

Our Reception

The Crooked Vine! After the ceremony, we will be on our way to taking a kajillion pictures to mark the special day. But our guests should not worry as we are having the reception in the same venue. The patio area and Barrel Room will play host to a cocktail hour friends and family before we have dinner on the patio. Dinner will be buffet style with options for everyone. Once dinner is done, we will head into the Barrel Room to cut a rug. This night will be a great time for all and we will make sure no one is standing against the wall when the music is going.

Travel Arrangements

The Monday following the wedding, Willow and Brent will be heading off to Mexicooooooooooooo! We plan on staying in Nuevo Vallarta (outside Puerto Vallarta) for 2 weeks in the amazing Dreams Villamagna resort. We are still working on the details to what this trip might entail, and would love any ideas you might have.
