Bride

After careful consideration and a lot of thought, I finally figured out how my proposal would go about.

We had a family vacation planed in the coming weeks and Sara had said she had always wanted to go searching for treasures on the beach.  I knew then that would be how I proposed.  The 8-hour drive to the beach seemed as if it took 20. I was so excited and nervous and couldn’t wait to pop the question.

Well the first day was a bust. I hurried down to the beach when we arrived hardly having the car unloaded and looked for the perfect spot to hide the ring in the sand. I then asked Sara to come down to the beach. Well she came down and I guess I forgot to mention exactly where I was, so she walked 20 minutes the wrong way and the time she found me it was dark, and she was overly frustrated.

So that brings us to the next day. As the same the day before I found the perfect spot on the beach once more. I buried a silver heart inscribed with the words “Sara Will You Marry Me”. The next step was to get her down to the beach with the metal detector and point her in the right direction without her knowing it. Well then here comes a family and they placed their beach canopy right over the spot where I had buried the heart. Thankfully they understood when I explained the situation and quickly moved.

With help from the kids finally everything was falling into place and finally she had a hit on the detector.  As she dug in the sand to uncover her find I dropped down to one knee to ask her to be mine.
